If you have searched for resin art in Ahmedabad you have probably found three very different things: marketplace listings shipped from anywhere in the country, craft-supply shops selling resin and moulds for making your own, and a handful of small studios like ours making finished pieces to order. What resin art means in practice
Epoxy resin is a two-part liquid that sets hard and glass-clear over a day or two. Artists colour it with pigments, pour it in layers, and set things inside it: gold leaf, pressed flowers, a photo, a varmala from a wedding, a mantra in gold lettering. Once cured it is waterproof, washable and, if the right resin is used, does not yellow. That is why it has moved from wall art into things people use every day: pooja thalis, nameplates, clocks, coasters, trays and table tops.
In Gujarat the demand is heavily tied to the home mandir, the front door and gifting. Most of what leaves our studio is a thali, a nameplate or a bulk gifting order, with wall art and furniture as the larger, slower commissions.

Craft and stationery shops across the city sell resin, hardener, pigments and silicone moulds. They are the right place if you want to try making coasters yourself. They generally do not sell finished custom pieces, and the ready-made items they stock tend to be factory cast.
Marketplaces
Instagram sellers and marketplace listings are the widest choice and often the cheapest. The trade-off is that you rarely know who made it, what resin was used, or whether the "Ahmedabad" in the listing is where it ships from. For a ₹200 keychain that does not matter much. For a ₹3,000 nameplate on your front door in direct sun, it does.
What resin art costs in Ahmedabad
These are our own prices, which sit in the middle of the local range. Marketplace pieces can be cheaper; large commissioned works from established artists can be a great deal more.

- Tables and furniture: always quoted, because the wood, the size and the freight vary too much for a list price.
A general rule: if a finished 12 inch thali with brass diyas is being offered for ₹400, either the resin is a cheap grade that will yellow, or the diyas are not brass, or both.
How to check a piece before you pay for it
- Ask which resin was used. A maker who cannot tell you is a warning sign. Art-grade epoxy with UV resistance costs more and is the difference between a clear piece and a yellow one in two summers.
- Look at the surface in daylight. It should be glossy and hard with no tacky patches. Stickiness means the mix ratio was wrong, and it never fully cures.
- Look for bubbles. A few tiny ones deep inside a thick pour are normal. Clusters near the surface or around embedded flowers are a rushed job.
- Check the hardware. Brass diyas, a proper clock movement, a keyring with a clasp, a sturdy hanging hook on a nameplate. The resin often outlasts the fittings.
- Ask about care. Any maker should tell you to keep it out of prolonged direct sun and away from harsh cleaners. We have a full care guide if you want the details.
How a custom order works
- Send a reference. A photo of your door, your mandir, a saree colour, a Pinterest screenshot, or simply "something in blue for a 3 by 1 foot space". Use the contact form or WhatsApp.
- Agree the design and the price. Heta replies with dimensions, a price and a timeline. For nameplates you get a layout of the lettering to approve before anything is poured.
- Pay an advance. Custom work starts on an advance, with the balance due before dispatch.
- Wait for it to cure properly. Most custom pieces take 2 to 4 weeks. Simpler thalis and frames are quicker, at 10 to 14 days; furniture and varmala preservation take longer. We do not rush curing, because rushed resin is the soft, bubbly resin from the checklist above.
- Delivery. Hand-packed at the studio. Within Ahmedabad this is often the same week the piece finishes. Across Gujarat and PAN India it goes by tracked courier, and we ship to the USA, Canada and Australia regularly for families here sending gifts abroad.

Yes, in Gujarati, Hindi and English, and in combinations. The lettering is cast under the surface in gold or a contrasting colour, so it does not peel outdoors.

Yes. Gandhinagar is treated as local. Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot orders go by courier and usually arrive within two to four days of dispatch.
Can I bring my own varmala or flowers?
