Fresh or dried flowers, left untouched, will naturally decay. Resin changes that equation entirely. Once a flower or garland is properly dried and sealed inside cured resin, it's protected from air, moisture, and physical handling — the very things that cause organic material to break down. The result is a keepsake that holds its form indefinitely, not just a photograph of the moment, but a piece of the moment itself.

How Soon Should You Send Your Varmala?

Timing matters. For the richest colour retention, send your varmala or bouquet as soon as possible after the wedding — ideally within a few days. Fresh flowers preserve their colour and form more vividly than flowers that have already begun to dry out or wilt on their own. That said, if fresh shipping isn't possible, dried or pressed flowers still preserve beautifully — they simply take on a slightly more muted, rustic character, which many customers love in its own right.

How to Prepare and Ship Your Flowers

  • Avoid spraying flowers with water before shipping — excess moisture can cause mould during transit.
  • Lay the varmala flat in a sturdy box with tissue paper for cushioning, rather than folding it tightly.
  • Ship as early in the week as possible to avoid the parcel sitting in transit over a weekend.
  • Let us know it's on its way — we'll confirm once it arrives safely.

What We Do With Your Flowers

Once your varmala arrives, Heta carefully dries and arranges the flowers, then designs the layout for your chosen piece — a wall clock face, a keepsake frame, or a display panel. This is a genuinely one-of-a-kind process: your exact flowers, arranged for your exact piece.

Timeline and What to Expect

Like all customised VEDUMI pieces, varmala preservation typically takes 14–15 days from confirmation of your order to completion, though the natural drying process for fresh flowers can sometimes extend this slightly — we'll always give you an honest, specific timeline once we see your flowers.

An Honest Note on Colour

Because this process uses real, organic material, some natural variation in final colour and form compared to the fresh flower is normal and expected — it's part of what makes each piece genuinely one of one, not a printed reproduction.
