For most of India the festival ends on Diwali night. In Gujarat it is only halfway through. Bestu Varas, the first day of Vikram Samvat 2083, is Monday 9 November 2026, and the week runs on to Labh Pancham on Saturday 14 November, when shops reopen and the year's accounts properly begin. This guide is for the people running those shops and offices, and for everyone doing the Saal Mubarak rounds in between.
Chopda pujan: the account books
Chopda pujan happens on Diwali night or on the morning of Bestu Varas, depending on the family and the muhurat. New ledgers are opened, a swastik and the words Shubh and Labh are written in kumkum on the first page, and a coin is placed on it. The ledger is software now in most businesses, but the ritual has not gone anywhere; people print the first page, or put the laptop on the thali. What has changed is that the Shubh Labh written in kumkum now often has a permanent version on the wall or the door beside it.

Labh Pancham: reopening the shop
Labh Pancham is the day new ventures start and the shutters go up after the Diwali break. It is also, in our experience, the day owners finally replace the faded signboard and the laminated UPI code taped to the counter. Two pieces are made for exactly that.
The QR code display stand, ₹2,499, is a live-edge resin panel with a molten gold border and your business name cut in 3D gold acrylic across the top. Beneath it sit as many QR codes as you need side by side: Google review, Instagram, GPay or PhonePe. It arrives on a small wooden easel, ready for the counter, in a minimum 12 inch size with larger sizes on request. For a salon, a café, a clinic reception or a kirana counter, it is the difference between customers scanning and customers asking.
A marble and gold name plate, ₹2,500 in 12 by 8 or 16 by 10 inch, with the firm's name in 3D lettering and an optional Ganesh or Om motif, does the same job at the entrance. Both pieces take two to four weeks, because the lettering layout is confirmed with you before pouring, so if Labh Pancham is the target the order needs to be in by mid October.
Saal Mubarak: the visits
Between Bestu Varas and Labh Pancham everyone visits everyone. You do not arrive empty-handed, and you do not arrive with something that needs to be wrapped in the car. Pieces that come boxed and travel well:

Gifting the staff and the clients
Offices that missed the Diwali gifting window often do it on Bestu Varas instead, and the timing is honestly better: the gift is not lost among twenty others. The logo desk and car stand at ₹199 each or ₹149 from 25 pieces carries the company's name cast under the resin, and the personalised keychains go from ₹299 down to ₹149 at 100 pieces.
